Animal Behavior Management Alliance 2012
| We are excited to announce the continuation of our partnership with the Animal Behavior Management Alliance.
We will be covering the 2012 conference in San Francisco being held May 6 – 11. Check out our Conferences page for more information and a special offer for attendees.
We highly recommend attending this conference to all animal professionals as it provides a wide variety of information across all species focusing on behavior and enrichment.
The ABMA continues to prove they are a leader in sharing information with others, whether it is through conferences,
newsletters, their website, or ours. And now, in addition to covering their 2012 conference, they have given us
permission to post all previous years’ conference abstracts. This will allow all of our members and theirs the ability
to easily find previous years’ topics and speakers. This will be a continuing effort but we plan on posting the first
pages soon. As always, we are thrilled to be partnered with this great organization and encourage attending their
conference as it is much more than just the presentations you see on the website. Just watch the highlights video
from last year to see for yourself. |

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary
| We are excited to announce Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary as a founding partner of AnimalProfessional.com. Through this partnership we will be creating our first workshop for our members. Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary is a non-profit wildlife sanctuary, dedicated to the conservation and protection of native and exotic animals. We are providing an Introduction to Behavioral Husbandry workshop to the staff. The workshop will start with a presentation of the basic concepts of behavioral husbandry and will include the practical application of these concepts following the SPIDER model for a variety of species. We will be recording this workshop through each step of the process and will publish it step by step on our members website. In addition to the video recordings of the workshop being posted, we will be publishing all of the documents created as well. We are grateful to the Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary for this fantastic opportunity and are excited to be bringing this workshop to our members. |

We are excited to announce
Regional Aquatics Workshop
as a founding partner of AnimalProfessional.com. Regional Aquatics Workshop, a.k.a. RAW, held its first meeting in 1989 and has met every year since as an opportunity for professionals in public aquariums to learn from one another.
This new partnership means we will be covering their 2012 Workshop hosted by the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago April 9th – 13th.
We are thrilled to be able to cover this important event and are excited to be able to share its content with our members.
