The Summit County Search and Rescue and the Arapahoe Basin Avalanche deployment team will be there to save the day!
 
The demonstration involves the Arapahoe Basin Ski Patrol burying a victim in the snow.  One of their trained Search and Rescue (SAR) dog and handler teams who are Flight for Life Lift Ticket, Search and Rescue Dogs of Colorado (SARDOC), and Colorado Rapid Avalanche deployment (CRAD) certified will be finding the victim.  A Lift Ticket certification is a unique program where SAR dogs and handlers are certified to fly on a Flight for Life Colorado helicopter.  The helicopter shuttles in the SAR team into a rescue site.  Once the team is flown in then they will use the dogs to find and unbury the victim.
