Integrating Animal-Centered Decision Making in Wildlife Rehabilitation

Sound decision-making is the basis of getting to good outcomes for our wildlife patients. Yet our decision-making is often complicated by competing inputs and insufficient knowledge. We deal with tough, weighty decisions involving an animal’s life and future every day. And in a world of seemingly unlimited information but limited resources, we often turn to the information world for new knowledge. The simple concept of evidence-based decision making often isn’t simple to implement. How do we disentangle what we can do from what we should do? |
